About the School

Cardiff Management & Languages Academy (CMLA) provides English language, Information Technology, Management and Technical training courses to international students. Browse through our website www.cmla.uk.com for more detailed information.

CMLA is open throughout the year with a two week holiday during Easter, Christmas and the New Year. Students may select full-time, part-time and intensive courses. Classes are held in the daytime from 9.30am to 3.30pm. We run evening and weekend courses on request. Students may choose to combine group lessons with individual tuition. Discounts are available for long-stay private paying students and group bookings.

Homestay Hosts provide a friendly, safe and homely environment. You will be given your own room with breakfast and an evening meal each day and a light lunch included at weekends. All our hosts are regularly inspected and meet the requirements of the British Council accreditation scheme. In most cases accommodation is within walking distance of or a short bus ride away from CMLA, allowing travelling time and transport costs to be kept to a minimum.

Cardiff, a vibrant cosmopolitan capital city of 350,000 people, is an ideal place for international students to live and study as it cheaper than London and other large UK cities. It has excellent transport links to London and quick and easy access to the international airports of Cardiff, Bristol and Heathrow. Cardiff boasts open spaces and parkland, excellent shopping, sports facilities, restaurants, cafes and pubs and a friendly, suburban location. Museums, theatres and tourist attractions are easily accessible and only a short distance away from CMLA.

Our students enjoy learning in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment with the best combination of up-to-date teaching and traditional approaches. Students are encouraged to become confident in all aspects of the English language as well as learning about British culture and the British way of life. Small classes enable students to receive personal attention from our teachers and this encourages rapid progress in learning English.
